A new Destiny update has gone live today, changing the map rotations slightly within the Crucible mode, and also the drop rate of a certain quest weapon.
The Husk of the Pit is a weapon that was first included in the game with The Dark Below expansion last year. While the weapon starts out as pretty standard, it can be changed to an Exotic weapon if the player chooses to follow a certain quest line and also dedicate time to upgrading it.
The Husk of the Pit is only obtainable through the Blades of Crota, minions of the Hive that can be found throughout various maps within the game. This update now increases the drop rate of the weapon, reportedly by up to 150%, and also fixes a bug that prevented players from never being able to obtain the weapon.
Elsewhere within the update, certain maps now have less of a chance of appearing within the rotation. These include Rusted Lands, Shores of Time, Pantheon, Exodus Blue and Firebase Delphi. The aforementioned maps only have less of a chance of appearing when playing the Control and Clash modes within the Crucible.
