During the Electronic Arts Gamescom presentation earlier this morning, a new aerial combat mode has been revealed for the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront.
The new mode, dubbed ‘Fighter Squadron Mode’, was revealed earlier today with a new gameplay trailer which you can see below, during which players fought in various vehicles around a Star Destroyer.
The trailer began with the Imperal forces attempting to extract a high value target in an Imperal Shuttle, only for the Rebel Army to attempt to intercept and destroy said target. The trailer could point to various objectives within the new Fighter Squadron mode, instead of the traditional deathmatch format.
The brand new trailer showed off significant portions of aerial gameplay, as vehicles from both the Imperial and Rebel army were shown off in action. The gameplay looked particularly sleek, especially given the fact that 20 humans and 20 AI team members can be present in any one battle all at once.
Star Wars Battlefront is due for release on November 17th in North America, and November 20th in Europe. It can be played early through EA Access, and can be purchased for Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.
