Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Mad Max game, featuring several new character additions.
The trailer, which you can watch below, mainly focuses on a number of new, unnamed characters, while also providing the action packed sequences you’d expect from a post apocalyptic game.
The trailer also happens to show a number of the games strongholds. These will supposedly be similar to the strongholds seen in last years Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor, as you have increased chances of running into warlords and their own armies within the fortresses.
“In a world where Max faces both his internal and external enemies, these strongholds hold the pieces essential to the puzzle he tries to solve” reads the official Warner Bros. press statement for the trailer. “Max will need to make some uneasy alliances as he prepares to take on the merciless wasteland tyrant, Scrotus.”
The trailer might also lend clues as to how the game will begin for players. In one scene glimpsed briefly, Max appears bloodied and beaten, and lying on the ground in the middle of the desert with no possessions. It’s highly likely that this is how the game begins, with Max having recently lost everything, perhaps to Scrotus.
The Mad Max game will not tie in to the recently released and critically acclaimed film in the same franchise, this being Mad Max: Fury Road. The game will be available on September 1st on Xbox One, PC and Playstation 4.
