Speedrunning Gaming Event Raises Over $1 Million For Charity

The week-long Summer Games Done Quick event came to a close on Saturday, with the event raising just over $1.2 million for charity.

The event was aimed at raising money for the Doctors Without Borders charity movement, which aims to send medical specialists to the more deprived areas of the world. The final count on Saturday for the event came to $1,230,852, although this number may increase over the next few days.

The Summer Games Done Quick have all been archived, and can be found under the Games Done Quick YouTube channel. The event included highlights such as the speedrunning of Super Mario 64 and Chrono Trigger.
