Female Director Being Sought For Tomb Raider Reboot?

A rumour surrounding the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot film suggests that Warner Bros. and MGM are eyeing a female director to helm the project.

According to sources trusted by Heroic Hollywood, the script for the reboot, written by Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle‘s Evan Draughty is now complete, and so Warner and MGM are now turning their attention to acquiring a director for the upcoming reboot.

The studios are reportedly looking for a ‘Michelle MacLaren type.’ MacLaren gained notice after helming several commendable Breaking Bad episodes, and has since been linked to the upcoming Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot, but has recently dropped out.

There’s still no release date currently attached to the Tomb Raider reboot, however if the script is complete and in good condition, and if Warner and MGM are stepping up their search for a director, it shouldn’t be too long before the film is hopefully put into development.
